Microsoft Word Question

A freind of mine who uses Word called me for help the other day. He suddenly began getting a dot (like the dot at the top of a semi-colon) every time he hits the space bar. How can he get rid of that? I do not use Word enough to be able to help him. Thanks.

There is also an "icon" in his control bar at the top of Word that looks like a capitol Letter P, but reversed backwards and bold. It is the "paragraph" symbol in grammar. Pressing this icon shifts between "show spacing and formating - to don't show spacing and formatting" I sometimes use it to "show" when I am creating a document with alot of insets, bullets, numbering, etc.

Just click the icon and it will go away.

Best Regards
