America kills another natural resource

It sounds like the state needs leadership, nothing to do with the feds...except the liberal supreme court ruling on eminet domain stating that they can now develop if it's profitable for the community, and to hell with anything else

I think we should continue to worry about S. America and go ahead with all expansion and development possible here. We can just bring in water and stuff from other countries.

Mexico has withheld water from the US for over 10 years. They made a substantial payment earlier this year, but they are still way behind. While they were bankrupting farmers around here by denying them their water, the Mexicans were expanding the acerage of water-intensive crops. Texas A&M estimates the losses to Rio Grande Valley farmers at several hundred million dollars. The US State Department did little of nothing to enforce the water treaty. We can't depend upon other countries for water.

Of course, the bigger argument is that we shouldn't destroy our own resources.

Ground water is disappearing very quickly in the US and along with it the rivers and streams. Little attention is being paid to this vital resource...water. It is more important than oil but few seem to care that it is running out and will someday be scarce and expensive.
