WS_FTP not opening maximized

Recommended Posts

My WS_FTP won't start up maximized. It opens as a small window each time I start it up. It's getting annoying.

I'm comfortable with making changes to the registry so is there some registry fix that I can perform? I'm using WS_FTP 8.02 if that matters.

If you need more information, post back. Thanks in advance.

This is what I found on my computer thru the help files...so I have no idea if it would apply

To resolve this issue, upgrade to WS_FTP Pro version 7.5 or later. For information about how to do so, please visit any of the following Web sites:

I have never used this program.

Is this the box that you described?

WS_FTP Pro Classic and Explorer

WS_FTP Pro is a Windows-based file transfer client application that

transfers files between a user's local PC and a remote computer

system connected via a modem and telephone lines or by a local-area

network. With WS_FTP Pro, users can connect to any remote system

that has a valid Internet address and an FTP server program,

browse through directories and files, and transfer files between the

two systems. In addition, users can create, change, and remove

directories and view, execute, rename, or delete files.

WS_FTP Pro complies with the Windows sockets (Winsock) standard,

allowing you to transfer files between a wide variety of systems,

including Windows, OS/2, and UNIX systems.

WS_FTP Pro is shipped with two user interfaces: the "Classic" which

looks like a standard Windows application, and the Explorer with a

user interface that resembles Windows Explorer.

I would suggest checking out these-

I was a little confused because the version that you listed came up as WS_FTP Pro and the web site listed a version 9. I would make sure that I had all the updates for the version that you are using.

It seems like a pretty good program but I have never needed this capability. I am not allowed to log onto my home machine from work. I am able to use simple file sharing and regular Windows FTP on my network.

I bought this over two years ago so I can't upgrade. These greedy developers aren't getting another dime of my money.

I guess I will just live with it. I was hoping someone would be able to come up with a quick registry fix. Thanks anyway, appreciate it.
