Guest ramsesmin
I turned on my notebook PC running Windows ME and found my browser page had been changed and now includes a toolbar for access to porn sites which my daughter must have accessed inadvertently. In addition, I hear my hard drive clicking away constantly and when I ran my Pitstop it told me that my compuet was suffering from unusually slow disk performance (about 30% of normal). I tried a System Restore but that function is disabled also. How do I get rid of this?
Y kawika
First step is to get a good tool to fight back at spyware and highjackers! Download and run adaware: http://www.lavasoftusa.com . It'll find lots of pests, robbing your system. Put a check next to each item that it finds and have it remove them. Reboot your computer and run it again untill it gives you a clean bill of health. Then run Scan Disk, and Defragment the hard drive!
