Guest ebg Posted February 3, 2003 Share Posted February 3, 2003 I just installed Win XP. I have a cable modem and am getting these weird pop-ups that are sent to my IP. How do I make these things stop popping up. Im also a gamer, and my connection has seemed to gotten worse on the servers im used to playing on. Can someone suggest something about that also. aeroman10 Posted February 3, 2003 Share Posted February 3, 2003 (edited) I am not sure what pop ups you are refering to but regarding your connection - make sure that Internet Connection Firewall is disabled (in the advanced tab of your connection properties section) The pops youre refering to might be some part of windows messenger service but I am not sure at this point Edited February 3, 2003 by aeroman10 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
