actually Ronnie, youre wrong here..

IF i were still a pit cop, i would :tdn: that score.. because..

the rules are..

PC upgrades and Mods are allowed.... BUT... There will be NO hardware or OS changes (in between tests), meaning you have to take all the tests with the same setup

i think, his 3dmark, and pcmark scores were with 2 drives in raid.. not 4 like the pit test has ;) but since theirs no link to the scores, it can't be verified, so i would have gave it a :tdn: pending new futuremark scores ;)

Although I cant compete with the Big Dogs, I am at least the highest scoring non EE P4 so far, I suppose thats some consilation. I hope the dual core stuff from Intel is out by years end, it should be very fast.

I have the highest scoring athlon XP :)

Yay, go us with our mainstream processors.

I'm looking forward to Intel's Pentium M (desktop).

The dual cores sound good also, but they will consume more power and cost more. Still has plenty of advantages though.

It seems everything comsumes mass quantities of power now. I am guessing between dual core processors, and SLI an 800watt powersupply might do it.

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if anyone can explain how it is that I scored 1602 on my video card yesterday morning but I can't seem to even break 100 now. I didn't change any hardware or software at all. Was it just a freak of nature?:huh:

Is there a way for me to use the old score even though I can't make a link to it?

Thanks for any help.

Just look at the test history link.

That video score is definatly a glitch. Your card should score better than that though. You ought to try running the test with all of the below items shut off.

C:\PROGRA~1\NORTON~1\SPEEDD~2\nopdb.exe Norton SpeedDisk

C:\Program Files\Nero\InCD 4\InCD\InCDsrv.exe Ahead CD support

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VS7Debug\mdm.exe Debugger

C:\WINDOWS\System32\ctfmon.exe Office XP speech

C:\WINDOWS\System32\nvsvc32.exe NVIDIA driver helper

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Stardock\SDMCP.exe

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccEvtMgr.exe Symantec products

C:\Program Files\Norton SystemWorks\Norton AntiVirus\navapsvc.exe Norton Antivirus

C:\Program Files\Norton SystemWorks\Norton Utilities\NPROTECT.EXE Norton Recycle Bin

C:\WINDOWS\System32\ups.exe UPS Service

C:\WINDOWS\System32\wuauclt.exe Windows Update

C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe Print spooler

C:\PROGRA~1\NORTON~1\NORTON~2\GHOSTS~2.EXE Norton Ghost Start Service

C:\Program Files\APC PowerChute\mainserv.exe APC PowerChute

C:\Program Files\ASUS Utilities\PC-cillin 2002\PCCPFW.exe Pc-cillin Firewall

C:\Program Files\ASUS Utilities\PC-cillin 2002\Tmntsrv.exe Pc-cillin Antivirus

Thanks Guys,

I'll give that a try . . . ;)

But I have to say . . . it sure was exciting to get a total score of 3224!!

That's even faster than the highest overclocked speed!! :woot:

Oh well . . . back to the drawing board . . . :erm:

Revivalist your score looks good. Your pit video scores that way because of the via chipset and the athlon64. Thats just how they score.

Pit score -1757

If you want to test again change your computer name and restart that way it won't erase your old test.

Thanks for the help, Ronnie. . .

Your pit video scores that way because of the via chipset and the athlon64.

So are you saying that the system CPU and mobo chipset could cause the video card to run slower than it should?

If you want to test again change your computer name and restart that way it won't erase your old test.

I was just logging in under a different e-mail address and then retesting which ever account had the lower score. Then I was going to report the highest . . . Is that OK too?
