Guest RonBoyd
In the opening screen is a question about "connection type." Two of the three allowed responses are the same except for one having (Safe) on the end and the other having (Max). What does this mean? Does it refer to two different T1 connections? In which case, can it be ignored by users of other connection types? Or does it mean something even more obscure? Safe or Max! How scary. Where is the "Help" function? dave
If you have a PPoE connection (most often used with DSL) then use Safe. Otherwise use Max. If you use the Max settings and have problems connecting to some sites, go back and use the Safe settings. Unfortunately, it's pretty complex and hard to explain, it has to do with TCP/IP and the way that some sites configure their firewalls to ignore certain requests. So a help file wouldn't really help answer the question. If we had any way to tell it automatically we would, because I agree it can be confusing.
