Static Being Made By Pc

Everytime! my pc has been making annoying low tone sound. Like static on my TV or radio. It occurs when I use the scrool or wheel on my mouse on internet explorer and when i minimize windows. Its is really bugging what is the cause of this is it my software or hardware.

Intel p4 1.7 ghz

256 ddr 266 mhz

40 gb seagate

redfox ms7xd motherboard 400mhz

w/ built in sound AC' 97

chipset: SIS

geforce mx 440 64 ddr

 

please anyone who is willing to help.............. :(

I have seen that happen before. It is often like inedibleshoe said, wireless devices, but it can also occassionally be a sound that Windows has. Try turning off your speakers and see if it still does it.

Actually I get the noise when the DVD Drive spins up and with the wireless...but again only at high volume levels.

 

EDIT: I just realised you don't have a dedicated sound card, so my suggestion of seating the card again is silly advice :)

The sound is from my speakers and in low volume levels i can still here the static. I dont even have wireless devices near my pc even a cellphone . Do i have to replace my speakers? My speakers are ACROSS 200 watts
