Guest ShadowMann
:help: I just recently purchased PC Pitstop Optimize and after running the program several times it still tells me that it needs to do the same thing to optimize my internet connection: Option Current value Recomended value Maximum connections 15 10 Maximum of simultaneous connections 15 20 Why is it not making the changes when I completely run the optimization program? dave
Do you have some other utility that may be changing these settings? For example, do you have any P2P software like Kazaa? If you can, please test your computer and post a link to your test results. The reason I ask is that those numbers are higher than the defaults in Windows, which I believe are only set to 3. We recommend 10 and 20 but 15 for both should work as well.
dave
I would guess that PC Booster may be changing it t0 15 and 15, or perhaps PC Bodyguard is catching the change and preventing it. You could turn them off temporarily and see if it sticks.
Guest ShadowMann
Hello Dave, Thanks for all the help! The two programs: PC Booster, & PC Bodyguard that you are telling me to turn off; I was just wondering what you thought about them and if I really need them now that I have purchased PC Pitstop Optimize? Thanks Again, Nick P.S. I also have Modem Booster and was wondering the same about it to.
