erikhaan Report post Posted September 27, 2004 This has been quite an interesting adventure. My next step would be to hardwire the laptop to the router with the ethernet cable and then run the Network set up. If you can get the lappy to connect while hardwired, then the wireless connection should fall in place. It'll sure be comforting to finally discover what is causing the miss-communication from the lappy and the router! Good luck my friend. :)Y I hardwired the laptop to the router with an ethernet cable and ran the Network Setup Wizard. It created something called a "Network Bridge." Is this what I want? Anyways, after creating this Network Bridge nothing changed. I still have the same problem. I agree with you. It sure will be comforting to finally figure all of this out! erikhaan Report post Posted September 27, 2004 See if this helps. #### How can I get all the network features? My Webpage OOPS! Looks as if I just broke the rules. Here's a site that may help, hope it works. If you can find something on that Web page that helps with my problem, let me know! Thanks, Erik
erikhaan Report post Posted September 27, 2004 I think you REALLY need to find a buddy with a cd burner and an internet connection and make a cd with the winsock fix in my signature. Sounds like you definatly have a corrupted tcp/ip stack. I'm having my brother burn the Winsock fix for me. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks, Erik
