Guest mbelcher
I'm confused. I have currently DSL bandwidth of 1.5 megs download speed and 384 upload speed (upgradeable to 7 megs download and 784 upload speed). If I host a FTP or web server, is my 1.5 download speed shared by people that UPLOAD files to me or do they share my 384 upload speed. If they are uploading to me, then wouldn't they be sharing my download speed? I just want to make sure that I have it right -- Also, have I figured correctly that if people that will be uploading to me have 192k cable upload speeds, then the maximum that would be able to upload a file AT the SAME time would be 8 people (1550k or 1.5 megs divided by 192)? Thanks, Mindy :help:
duanester
if i have 1mb down and 128 up ...they can only get 128 max out of me for there download but yea its shared ..info has to be recieved in order for it to be sent ...but i can say that 784 would be a great download for me considering my down is 1mb..all this realy wont affect your down..only slightly Edited March 18, 2003 by duanester
