Guest tobycat95
here's the deal. When I am trying to go to ebay, I get "cannot find server page cannot be displayed"....but if I go to ebay australia or ebay canada or any other "ebay" that comes up when I search it through Internet Explorer...I connect no problem. Why???What is going on??? :help:
dave
It could be a DNS problem. From here, http://www.ebay.com is http://66.135.192.88 , can you get there with the IP link? If so I would guess that either you have a bogus HOSTS file or something is wrong with your DNS server.

So how can I tell if it is my DSN or Hosts file? I very much appreciate your help!!!!
aeroman10
Go to Search on your computer. Set it to look in your hard drive and search for a file called Hosts . Note that there is no extension on that file. If the results show up with some files that have *.sam extension...those are not the right files. Assuming you found the Hosts file on your computer, right click on it and go to Open With and select notepad. If I were you I would just clear the entire thing and save it....or you can scan through it to see if there is an entry for Ebay and delete that line and then save it.
