New Programs Added W/o Consent

:help: For the past 4 or 5 days I've had this program called Virtual Bouncer repeatedly appear on my computer without my knowledge. I've also had two other programs (can't remember the names) show up. I keep on uninstalling the programs but they keep coming back. I heard from someone it was through Kazaa and their spyware. But even when I don't have Kazaa up and connected the programs still come up. I've also heard from someone else that it could be that someone has my IP address and something about a firewall.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid and keep away these programs? Thank you :)

Welcome to the Pit

look like someone else has a similar problem here: http://216.239.53.100/search?q=cache:6mB_Q...&hl=en&ie=UTF-8

and I'll offer the same advice... get Spybot and/or Ad-Aware to try and remove it.

SpyBot - http://spybot.eon.net.au/

AdAware - http://www.majorgeeks.com/article.php?sid=506&cat=31

if neither helps... please post back, we'll figure out how to get rid of it

I downloaded Spybot and it removed the Spyware last night, but then this afternoon the program (Virtual Bouncer) appeared again. I used Spybot again and it found 3 more. I dont' know how they're getting on my computer because I haven't used it at all today. I also searched for Trojans and nothing appear.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Amber

open Spybot again, click on tools, then click on 'system startup'

then click on 'export', save it to your desktop, goto your desktop, open the .txt file you just created, then copy & paste the results back to here.

also check what is listed in 'start\programs\startup'

one other thing, did you update Spybot before scanning?
