I discovered a ransom email in my “junk” folder yesterday that included one of the passwords I use regularly, but only on sites that are mostly irrelevant insofar as providing valuable personal information. They are demanding $2000 in bitcoin or they allegedly share compromising people on my contact list. Other than contacting the FBI, not sure how I should proceed. Any helpful advice would be appreciated.

Just ignore it.

I get them all the time; stating they've got webcam footage of me; I've accessed nasty websites blah blah - I don't even own a webcam!

My advice is to change all your passwords as obviously one site you visit has been compromised  -and it could be just a normal everyday shopping site.

Have a look into installing a decent password manager; and don't have the same password for multiple sites.
