Change Mode

Currently running Windows 10 version 1909 (OS Build 18363.592) and when I booted the PC,

I received from Windows it was performing a diagnostic trouble shooting. Of course, windows

could not correct the issue. I went into DOS (still remember) and looked at file:


Boot critical file c:\windows\system32\drivers\pcpelam.sys is corrupt.

Repair action: File repair
Result: Failed. Error code =  0x2

I was running Supershield 3.0.25 however, I now see it was backed off to 3.0.24??

Of course, we do not control the software level.

I did open an issue with Tech Support....

I am not re-booting until I get word from technicians.

Thanks for your patience with this issue, if you've not already received these instructions from our Help Desk, here's how to recover your pc to a working state. 


To recover from the boot failure problem on Win 10 32 bit:

1. Boot your pc as normal, it will start the Automatic Repair process.


2. Click Advanced Options->Trouble Shoot-> Advanced Options->Startup Settings->Restart->type number 8> Disable Early Launch anti-malware protection. 


3. Windows will boot up as expected. 


4. Uninstall Supershield – This can be done by clicking on the Red shield to open PCMatic, then uninstall Super Shield via Options->SuperShield->Uninstall


5. Reinstall Super Shield from within PC Matic.

I will keep this in my folder for future reference (hopefully won't need it).

Support got back to me this morning stating 3.0.24 was re-installed and

requested me to re-boot. I did, and all is fine...Looks like 3.0.25 was the
