caintry_boy
Well here's your internet speed as per Overdrive: Internet Download Speed Internet 233294 Kbits/sec Internet Upload Speed Internet 17740 Kbits/sec What speeds are you paying for? cox910
Yeah, isn't that amazing! I am supposed to be 200Mbps down and 20Mbps up. According to that everything is great! Since the Broadband Quality tool started working, I started a test with it yesterday at 12:20 pm so it should be done within another hour. So far, the average speed it is showing is 58.6Mbps. Quite a discrepancy between this tool and the Overdrive test. Also quite a discrepancy to the speed test provided by Time Warner. I ran it twice before I got on here. The first run gave me a 26 Mbps down and the second was 45 Mbps down. Hard to figure out what to believe! Just ran Time Warner again and got 38.9 Mbps download. I am open to any thoughts on what to do (or believe) about this information.
cox910
Here are my results for a one day test with the Broadband Quality tool. It did stop after the end of the test and gave me the green START button to start another test. The results of this test are strikingly different from the speed test in Overdrive. I have a question for caintry_boy - You have posted your results from this tool so how did they compare to the Overdrive speed test?1/7/2017, 12:20:17 PMDownload Speed: 58.66 MbpsUpload Speed: 16.57 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/7/2017, 1:20:34 PMDownload Speed: 58.94 MbpsUpload Speed: 21.26 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/7/2017, 2:20:35 PMDownload Speed: 57.94 MbpsUpload Speed: 20.9 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/7/2017, 3:20:36 PMDownload Speed: 58.61 MbpsUpload Speed: 20.78 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/7/2017, 4:20:33 PMDownload Speed: 57.79 MbpsUpload Speed: 21.49 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/7/2017, 5:20:10 PMDownload Speed: 59.9 MbpsUpload Speed: 20.95 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/7/2017, 6:20:40 PMDownload Speed: 56.94 MbpsUpload Speed: 19.56 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/7/2017, 7:20:18 PMDownload Speed: 58.52 MbpsUpload Speed: 18.22 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/7/2017, 8:20:22 PMDownload Speed: 58.03 MbpsUpload Speed: 14.7 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/7/2017, 9:20:27 PMDownload Speed: 57.51 MbpsUpload Speed: 12.65 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/7/2017, 10:20:48 PMDownload Speed: 58.28 MbpsUpload Speed: 18.85 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/7/2017, 11:20:43 PMDownload Speed: 57.65 MbpsUpload Speed: 18.47 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/8/2017, 12:20:18 AMDownload Speed: 58.91 MbpsUpload Speed: 18.76 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/8/2017, 1:20:31 AMDownload Speed: 58.97 MbpsUpload Speed: 21.77 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/8/2017, 2:20:31 AMDownload Speed: 59.85 MbpsUpload Speed: 21.77 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/8/2017, 3:20:30 AMDownload Speed: 59.58 MbpsUpload Speed: 22.04 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/8/2017, 4:20:30 AMDownload Speed: 59.72 MbpsUpload Speed: 21.87 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/8/2017, 5:20:31 AMDownload Speed: 59.89 MbpsUpload Speed: 22.13 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/8/2017, 6:20:37 AMDownload Speed: 59.79 MbpsUpload Speed: 21.94 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/8/2017, 7:20:38 AMDownload Speed: 57.84 MbpsUpload Speed: 21.16 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/8/2017, 8:20:31 AMDownload Speed: 60.29 MbpsUpload Speed: 21.95 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/8/2017, 9:20:31 AMDownload Speed: 58.52 MbpsUpload Speed: 21.54 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/8/2017, 10:20:36 AMDownload Speed: 57.99 MbpsUpload Speed: 20.71 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable1/8/2017, 11:20:40 AMDownload Speed: 57.64 MbpsUpload Speed: 21.07 MbpsClient: 2607:fcc8:ae12:6a00:3967:f7a7:5aab:2fd8 - Time Warner Cable

cox910
So your results are pretty much in agreement. Now you see why I am having a problem. My results don't match - they're not even close. I'm going to have a conversation with my Time Warner tech support to see if we can get to the bottom of this. Thanks for your info.
caintry_boy
Interestingly enough, I just ran speedtest.net and got speeds that I'm paying for...10Mbps/down and .98Mbps/up...Think I'll set Broadband Quality Tool to run about a week and see what it says. Their fine print is probably selling guaranteeing UP TO 200/20 mps between your cable Modem and their server, but they cannot possibly guarantee anything outside of their control. So... outside of their control would include the speed from your computer to the cable modem and any internet up/down data between their servers and the rest of the internet. caintry_boy
Question of my own for Y kawika or IntelGuy. I know how to delete the log to start fresh on the "Status" but how do we get rid of the "Reports" to start fresh??
Y kawika
The reports are stored on the server in the cloud, so those are not editable unless a database edit is done by the developer. I'll ask him if there is a way to give more control of this to the end-user. Y

Nat
When I first downloaded the Broadband Quality tool, it would not open. It remained greyed out with a circulating cursor symbol. Later, I reinstalled it and it behaved normally, recording my internet speed. Now, when I open the app, I am back to a greyed out app with a circulating cursor. I have tried this on several computers on my network and all behave the same. When it worked on one computer, it worked on all. When it doesn't work, it won't open on all my Win10 computers.
