leftydrummrr
I have Windows 10,Lenovo Thinkcenter,Avast Free version,CC cleaner,Spybot, and use Spyware Blaster frequently.Chrome is my browser.I have a wired connection to U-Verse internet. The computer is getting noticeably slower on start up, and moving from page to page. About once a week Shockwave will crash.,and at different times, the screen and mouse will freeze if i'm away from the computer. I have to manually shut down and restart to get everything to work again. Am I infected? Hope to catch it now before it gets critical. Thanks. leftydrummrr
Read the link and updated Chrome. I'm having problems with Adware. Downloaded, saved to desktop, ran scan as administrator. Finished scan, but no Report to click on. It says... waiting for action, please uncheck elements you want to keep... Nothing but a capital N in the far left column under results. Don't see any elements to check or keep. I'm not the sharpest PC tool in the shed, but I'm missing something. I've done this before, and other similar scans, and didn't have any trouble. leftydrummrr
It is much faster, but today it froze again, without warning. I usually turn my wireless mouse off to save the battery. I turned the mouse back on and it was frozen on the screen. Restarted manually and its ok. Any thoughts?
Juliet
sure do hope it's not hardware, it doesn't look to be related to malware. Give it a day and if the mouse freezes again, head over to the User to User forum and open a new topic. DelFix Please download DelFix or from Here and save the file to your Desktop. Double-click DelFix.exe to run the programme. leftydrummrr
Since March 15 the computer has slowed down several times, almost stopped. Most of the time when that happened, I had to manually shut down and restart. I downloaded Ad Aware ,scanned and cleaned. Each time I used Ad Aware, the computer was as fast as new. I have started using Avast's Pro Antivirus, and Safe Zone browser instead of Chrome. So far it seems to be faster, and not slowing down. Any thoughts? Thanks. Juliet
Many reasons why a computer would slow down. If it happens again, see if you can open task manager and see what item is pulling the most CPU. By chance, can you show me the logs created by AdwCleaner See if you can find this file AdwCleaner[C1].txt

leftydrummrr
Did all of the above. Startup this morning was very slow, both browsers,Chrome and SafeZone, were slow . I usually keep three or four tabs open at the same time. Weather,Ebay,Email, and one more. Is this a problem? I went to only two tabs, email and P.C. Pitstop, and the computer got quicker and more responsive.
