How can I remove Google or Facebook contacts from Yahoo mail contacts?

When I type a letter to bring up contacts in Yahoo mail,I get many people I've never heard of. They are not in my contacts roster. Could this be Facebook or Google? How can I keep these unknowns out of my contacts list? Thanks.
