caintry_boy
Have you tried stopping the client and restarting your PC?
EclipseWebJS2
Now I have to dump all my work units because a single one can't find its collection server. This was on my laptop I had set to finish up, because it was complaining that it was getting too hot after a little temperature inversion settled in our area yesterday. caintry_boy
I don't remember exactly how, but there is a way to delete just that one WU if you research it a little. http://foldingforum.org/
gagaman
Seems to be a problem with their server 129.74.246.143 to which your client is trying to upload... http://fah-web.stanford.edu/pybeta/serverstat.html Edited November 23, 2014 by gagaman
EclipseWebJS2
Does it say anything in there about 140.163.4.233, because I'm having to run the GPU client one time up in my tower computer to make up for those lost points. caintry_boy
That server has got to be down but I'm not sure why they haven't fixed it...? edit: says here they're going to have it up by tomorrow...> https://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=27033&p=271566#p271566
EclipseWebJS2
By the time they have those servers back up some work units will already be past their expiration dates. Did some of you see how steep they set those deadlines on some of the projects that you got?
caintry_boy
Turns out that the post I saw was a "hoax" and it along with my post (I quoted someone else) were removed and the thread locked. Sorry folks, just delete that WU and go on... Fold On people!!
EclipseWebJS2
Except, I don't know how to get into the Data Directory on linux clients...
caintry_boy
Except, I don't know how to get into the Data Directory on linux clients... Cores, logs, and work folder are here > /var/lib/fahclient The config.xml file is located here: /etc/fahclient The FAHClient is started and stopped via the service script in /etc/init.d/FAHClient. sudo /etc/init.d/FAHClient start sudo /etc/init.d/FAHClient stop Both stop and start may be combined via this command: sudo /etc/init.d/FAHClient restart
