chemicalscream
After running PC-Matic on our home computer we no longer have sound. It's telling us "no audio output device is installed." We're running Windows Vista. Is there any reason why this happened after running the scan and how can we fix it? Thanks!
IntelGuy
We are sorry to hear there was a problem. Without looking at the scan results I can only speculate that PC Matic attempted to update the sound driver and was not able to do so successfully. To restore the sound, right-click on the My Computer icon, select properties, then click the 'hardware' tab followed by the 'Device Manager' button. Find the Sound, Video, and Game adapters and expand the selection by clicking on the "+". Then double-click on the device name to open the properties, then click the 'Driver' tab and then the 'Roll back driver' button. Let us know if that does not work. We have whitelisted that driver so it should not happen again.
