windows exploer closed ERROR messge

Just signed up to PCMATIC last week. I'm having 2-problems.

 

1. I occasionally get and error message from Microsoft "explorer closed unexpectedly".

 

2. on certain websites such as the weather channel, I must use open or open link to access the next function.

 

Have turned off add-ons and reset explorer to original settings. Neither helped.

 

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
