Doubleclick.net

Recommended Posts

When clicking the back button on some web pages, I discovered several entries for ad,doubleclick.net and tags.bluekai.com. Would you please advise instructions on how to remove these entries?

I am using a HP Compaq NX9600, Win XP and IE8.

Thank you.

These may be from cookies...you can get rid of them with this > http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/superantispyware_free.html

Would probably be a good idea to run this program too > http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/malwarebytes_anti_malware.html

Here's how to run MBAM:

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application. Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware andLaunch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish. If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version. Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan. The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient. When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results. Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may beprompted to Restart.(See Extra Note) The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logstab in MBAM. Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply. Extra Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfectionprocess. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

That should had showed us more then that.

I want you to start a new topic in this forum

http://forums.pcpitstop.com/index.php?/forum/25-have-i-been-hijacked/

Then

Scan with FRST in normal mode

Please download Farbar's Recovery Scan Tool to your desktop: FRST 32bit or FRST 64bit (If not sure which version: Start --> Computer (right click) --> properties)

(To use correct version for your system.....Which system am I using?)

  • Run FRST.
  • Don´t change one of the checkboxes and hit Scan.
  • Logfiles are created on your desktop.
  • Poste the FRST.txt
  • The first time the tool is run it generates another log Addition.txt - Please also paste that along with the FRST.txt into your reply.
Post these logs in the other forum, someone will assist you soon.
