clhardingjr
I have two self-built machines one of which has been in operation for several years, and the other is recently built within the last month. My question concerns the make & model information displayed in the application and why it does not display the correct information for the newer machine. The new machine was formerly an Intel i7/950 on an Intel DX58SO board and it is displaying the correct information. The only thing that I can come up with is that the A-SYS is on a system builder OS, while the B-SYS is on a single license. But, that doesn't make add up because both machines previously displayed the correct data. The older machine which is an Intel i7/950, formally an i7/930, on a Intel DX58SO board, Win7 Professional 64-bit: B-SYS Make: Intel_ Model: DX58SO On the new machine which is an Intel i7/4770K on an ASRock Extreme4 board, Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit: A-SYS Make: To be filled by O.E.M Model: To be filled by O.E.M
IntelGuy
You may want to check for a BIOS update as the issue is most likely with the SMBIOS: http://www.pcpitstop.com/faq/smbios.asp
