i had a 30$ rebate card from corsair and another 100$ my neighbor gave me for helping him with his laptop. the case was 37$ and the motherboad has a 10$ rebate, all parts bought at fry's tonight. i plan on using my exsiting HD,PSU and GTX 460 along with an LG SATA DVD drive i got at fry's. total was 197.00$ so didnt spend too much out of pocket. just wanted something to install W 7 on. just gotta pick up some red case fans next visit

EDIT: i just noticed the CPU supports 1333mhz memory and the stuff i bought is 1600mhz,will the 1600mhz down clock and run fine?

Let us know how that case performs and breathes, as it looks like it's going to be a good one, especially in that price range.

I'll give it a go on a few builds if you give it a thumbs up.

Thanks.

so far so good on the budget build for my garage. the case is darn nice for the 37$ i paid, right off the bat the window and paint are very good for the price. i almost bought the HAF 912 but i wanted a window as well as the insides black, the HAF was just plain metal. just waiting on my memory sticks and fans from newegg, right now i have both side panels and front panel off and im installing drivers. will post back when im done,oh yeah the front panel that is red is all a mesh like material and the bottom of front panel is open to allow the front 120mm fan to suck in air.

i finished the build last night and i was gonna post some pics and a pit test but i ran into this today on frys website: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820171645 it was never sold and it was a display item behind glass. they wanted 29$ so i reserved it for pick-up. i get there and its misplaced,20min later they find it and knock of some $$. ended up paying 25$ for the drive. its not a power house but for the price i am happy. will post back when im finished with the build

great deal and definitely something your going to be happy you added to the new build i'd say.

makes me cry when i see what you lot pay for hardware,

that exact same drive over here would cost $65.96 at todays exchange rate.

thats the best i can do with just a little over a 100$. im just running the SSD drive for now as i took out my old HD. it's pretty snappy and does what i want for a budget build

@ Y kawika, for sure its a nice case to use for a nothing fancy build,i have 5 fans in her(can hold 7) and the airflow is great :rocks: my only complaint is the top fan mounts,if you want to use 2(120 or 140mm) fans on the top you will have to move the dvd drive down 1 bay. i placed mine on top by not using the factory drilled holes,i used the mesh holes instead which worked fine with only 2 screws instead of 4.

Thanks for the help and info. I've got 2 ordered for a couple of builds to help some folks move away from their old XP rigs.

Both wanted the blue/black, which is fine, but I kinda like the red theme that you've got glowing in yours.

I like the design of the case and I appreciate your insight with regards to the airflow, that's much more important than the color............ at least to me as a builder.
