Okay, re-run HijackThis!, but this time, click on "Do a System Scan Only"

When it's finished, place a check in the box next to each of these items:

O2 - BHO: CrossriderApp0003491 - {11111111-1111-1111-1111-110011341191} - C:Program Files (x86)Vid-SaverVid-Saver.dll

Now, close your browser (X out of any Internet programs you have open) including this forum.

Once you've done that, Click on "Fix Checked".

Now, click on your start menu, click Programs and Features .... uninstall these programs:

Vid-Saver/CrossriderApp0003491

Swiki_IE

GamesBar

Advanced SystemCare 4/IObit

Optimizer Pro

ProgSense

Browser Manager

GamesAppService

IObit Malware Fighter

Now, restart your computer.

Run a scan with AdWareCleaner http://www.bleepingc...oad/adwcleaner/ to your desktop

1.Right-click on adwcleaner.exe and select Run As Administrator to launch the application.

2.Click on Delete button.

3.Confirm each time with OK.

4.Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart. Please post the content of that logfile in your reply.

Note: You can find the logfile at C:AdwCleaner[sn].txt as well - n is the order number.

Lynda, did you follow my instructions for HJT and check mark the processes I asked you to do above?

Did you click the button "Fix checked"?

Did you reboot your computer?

If you didn't ... please disable Adaware. Right click and close or disable the program. then follow instructions above. You can print it out so you don't miss any steps.

Right click on your desk top and make a "New Folder". Name it Clean Up tools.

Now Drag Adwcleaner and tfc.exe into it.

These two program tools are very handy and worth keeping.

You can delete the flush.bat, shortcut to strongvault, bit remover, combolog.txt.

Move chromese... and jre-77u9-wi...to your Downloads folder.

Click on your start menu and look for run icon on the right hand side or under accessories. Right click on it and choose to run as Administrator. Type or copy and paste combofix /uninstall in the runbox and click OK. ***Note the space between the X and the /, it needs to be there.

Do me a favor and run adwcleaner as Administrator again, making sure you:

2.Click on Delete button.

3.Confirm each time with OK.

4.Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart. Please post the content of that logfile in your reply.

The desktop icon could be hidden or you may have accidentally deleted it.

If the run command does not work, redownload ComboFix from here and follow these instructions.

  • When it has finished you will see a dialog box stating that "ComboFix has been uninstalled".
  • After that, you can delete the ComboFix.exe program from your computer (Desktop).
  • If you encounter any problems using the switch from the Run dialog box, just rename ComboFix.exe to Uninstall.exe, then double-click on it to remove.
