Cinnamon

Linux Mint 13 came out and I'm trying it out on a spare hard drive. I haven't tried Cinnamon or the other new happenings in the world of GNOME, and last used the traditional GNOME 2.x.x. Needless to say, things are a lot different.

I wrote a tutorial about theming GNOME a couple of years ago, but I don't think this stuff works anymore.

I see Cinnamon settings and have changed my main theme, which really just changed the task bar and the "start" menu. I'm hoping to change the window panels and icons as well. I have an icon pack I'd like to use, but can't see how to apply it. Can anyone give me some direction?

Edit: Also interested in adding compiz for compositing as the built in effects are terrible..

Thanks. I dropped my folder for the icon pack into the directory and then it showed up in cinnamon settings, but it's not rendering correctly. Looks awful!
