Signman
Anybody seen this before? When you try to type a web address in the browser additional characters are added. It not only happens in a web browser but anywhere you try to type....for instance when I try to get into msconfig.......the typed letters are something like mschofig. If I go to a command prompt ...I try to flush dns...I get ...ipcong-e /flusch dhns. No keys are sticking. The randome characters change most of the time. I was able to run Malwarebytes...which found 1 infection and removed....but that wasn't it. Its not my machine...it belongs to the wife's brother. I never thought to try another keyboard while I was there. Any suggestions?
Jacee
Have him try the keyboard on another computer to see if it does the same thing.
Signman
Yeah I told the wife to call him the other night and tell him to swap keyboards from another computer to see if it still does it. I haven't heard from him yet.
Dakeyras
If still no joy with what Jacee advised, if the keyboard in use is say a wireless one it may be worth changing the battery's.
