lizardo_manson
You already know that Windows can search the contents of your files, but it only searches certain types of files. If you have a proprietary application that creates files with an extension Windows doesn't recognize as being one of the types it normally searches, you can add the file type to the search function. Here's how: In the Start menu's Search box, type "Indexing Options" In the Indexing Options dialog box, click the Advanced button Click the File Types tab At the bottom of the windows, click the Add button to add a new extension to the list If there are file types listed that you don't want Windows to search, you can uncheck their boxes in the list.
