I've rooted and installed a custom ROM on my phone, so all I do is hold down the power button and I get the option to take a screenshot. I know it can be done on a non-rooted phone but I believe there's an extra step or two.

Nigsy, yours is great!

Can any android be rooted? Where do you start? My phone looks cool, I use themes. Still, can't show ya a screen shot. :(

I guess I should look for help in a proper thread.

From my Nexus S 4g (Sprint)

Have a look here for the one click tool:

I would also check out the Nexus forums on XDA Developers. Do your research before rooting your phone - It can be expensive if it goes wrong!!

Rooting allows you super-user privileges which can then be used to install a custom ROM (firmware). One-Click is the easiest way to root a device though there are other ways (I had to use the terminal emulator). The biggest thing when rooting and installing different ROMs is to BACKUP! Many times when a mistake is made, a backup can restore a semi-bricked phone.
