Hi

My husbands computer takes 5 minutes to load windows and after it loads it takes about ten minutes to be able to open anything.

As windows starts Microsoft Security Essentials turned is off for about ten minutes.

It is not freezing because I can move courser around just cannot open anything

I think something is running in the back ground but i can not find it.

I had trouble with RunDll error and had it posted in user help.

TomGL2 Helped me with that. Then suggested i re post here.

It was posted under

RunDLL error in user to user help.

Any help would appreciated

Thank you for your time

Traci

Well, sorry that this has been here with no assistance for so long...

Lets try with first things first...download > http://majorgeeks.com/SUPERAntiSpyware_d5116.html

Open the program and install, update and run a full/complete scan on the infected PC. Can be ran in Safe Mode if necessary. It will produce a log that can be found by selectin "view logs", post the log in your next reply.

Next download > http://majorgeeks.com/Malwarebytes_Anti-Malware_d5756.html and save it to your desktop. Run it like this:

Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.

At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.

If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.

Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.

When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.

Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.

When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location and post the results along with the SUPERAntispyware log.

Well then, time to send you to the real experts...

Download > HiJackThis

Save it to it's own folder on the desktop, open the program and select to "Do a system scan and save a log". When the scan finishes it will open the log in Notepad. Copy/paste the contents into a new thread that you start here > http://forums.pcpitstop.com/index.php?/forum/25-hijackthis-logs/

Wait for help there from one of our trusted advisors, they'll get you straightend out.
