Joe C
Exec. Time: 22.7690 The only time I see a lag is when you first get here after being away for a while, and only when you go to any forum, doesn't lag when you click on one of the threads to the forum. After the first lag, it runs good Could their be something in the browsers settings that does not agree with the forum? most folks that are regulars here often set their browsers not to accept certain cookies (coughTribalFusioncough) and could something like that be slowing things down? Edited October 22, 2011 by Joe C
Y kawika
No Ads are run on the forums any longer and "Ad Code Integration" is shut off. The only cookie sent is from the .pcpitstop.com domain. I agree about the first time here getting the lag. However, clicking on Member's profiles is hit or miss as well. Thanks for the suggestion, though, every suggestion is being investigated. Humbluemoon
. Thanks for the suggestion, though, every suggestion is being investigated. Y Could it be a scripting language issue? Are you getting a large number of instances of PHP or something else running in Task manager consuming the CPU?
Y kawika
Could it be a scripting language issue? Are you getting a large number of instances of PHP or something else running in Task manager consuming the CPU? Nothing out of the ordinary is making itself evident. Ram is being utilized @ 95% .But I'm with you on this. It's gotta be a language problem, 'cause outside of the lag, there are other features that are not functioning correctly, or they come and go. Birthdays and the Calendar have disappeared from my view, yet they are enabled in the Admins Control Panel. Do you see them? Y

Bruce
Well I know you might not like this but I would try this. Remove the add on theme. Leave just the IP default and test things out. Recently I had a forum set up and when I added a customized it literally murdered the response of the forum. It was the presence of the theme not whether a user was using it or not. It's worth a try
Y kawika
I agree, worth a try. I'll go shut it off and let's kick the tires. Y edit: Ok done. Edited October 23, 2011 by Y kawika

Y kawika
Got the Calendar & Birthdays going again, so let's keep our eyes on any performance hits that may occur. So far it's been better, but as we all know, the problem has been with consistency. Thanks everybody for all the help and support. Y

Not sure if that would help more then just turning it off, but forum is still slow for me.

She'll get a hold of the IPS folks and we'll see where we can go from here. It's better though and I do appreciate your suggestion, Bruce. Y
