The first row represents the current score for this system. Note that AMD and Intel systems often perform very differently at the same clock frequency; AMD uses a "processor rating" for many of their CPUs rather than the actual clock MHz. CPU Type Clock MHz # PCs Tested CPU Score Memory Score Disk Score AMD Athlon II X2 245 2892 (yours) 26635 18438 26 AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5600+ 2900 46 19004 11078 58 Intel Core2 Duo 2900 29 15769 10227 74 Best video results for similar PCs This table shows the best average scores we have recorded for a particular video board and driver for systems with a CPU and MHz similar to yours. The first row represents the current score for this system. Remember that PC Pitstop's test measures 2D performance; the speed of a particular board on 3D applications such as games may be very different. Also, video performance and system reliability can vary greatly as a function of the drivers that are being used. A driver that provides the highest score may not provide the best image quality and/or system stability. (You can use Driver Alert to see if you have the latest driver.) IntelGuy
Please post an OverDrive link so that we can see what is taking place on your computer. If you need help, there is a tutorial here: http://forums.pcpitstop.com/html/helpfiles/techexphelp.htm For the disk speed you can go into the device manager and uninstall the primary and secondary IDE controllers, the reboot and let Windows install new drivers for those and see if that helps. IntelGuy
Thanks for the OverDrive link. For the C: drive I would suggest running Windows disk cleanup, then defragging, then test again.
