Chrome: Drag 'n Drop To Create Internet Shortcuts

Recommended Posts

If you are a Google Chrome user, you can take advantage of the Windows 7's Show desktop button to easily create shortcuts for Web pages on your desktop using drag-and-drop.

Just select the page address with the mouse and drag it from the browser address bar onto the Show desktop button, located by default on the right end of the Windows 7 Taskbar.

That will bring focus to the Desktop, so you can drop the address on it to create the shortcut.

PLUS: you can also create a folder on the Desktop to drag your internet shortcuts to.
