IntelGuy
Please run the Active X control removal tool from the link below: http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/3/27/183.../Remove-All.zip If you are using Vista or Windows 7, first save the file above to your desktop, right-click and extract the file, then right-click on the extracted file and select, "Run as administrator". Once the removal tool completes, run PC Matic again and it should download new Active X controls. Let us know if the issue is not resolved.

IntelGuy
Thank you for the additional information. The fact that MS updates are not working either indicates that something is interferrring with the Active X on the computer. What security software is installed? Anything new or updated recently? What is the result of our Active X test?: http://www.pcpitstop.com/testax.asp

IntelGuy
ChePat I'm not sure what you are trying to tell us. It may be better to click on "New Topic" in the upper right, or open a ticket at our help desk: http://www.pcpitstop.com/store/service.asp
keith1937
IntelGuy Sorry to say it is still not working. I tried as an experiment to see if I could run a free full test but that will not work either. Would it help if I completely un installed it then reinstall it again. If so I will require the links please. Keith

keith1937
IntelGuy ActiveX is not supported If, instead of the time, you see a box with a small x in it,: Plus I get the full page of instructions which I have tried but still no go Keith
IntelGuy
OK, the indication is that the problem is not with PC Matic, but with the Active X settings on the computer. Are you able to run an OverDrive scan? If not, open Internet Explorer and go to Tools>Internet Options>Security> and move the slider to "Medium" or click the button to reset to defaults.
