Making Desktop Fonts More Viewable on Backgrounds

I don't know if this is a new tip or not, I've only had my Vista machine a couple of months.

Many of my desktop background are of submarines at sea and the backgrounds are fairly light, showing sky and clouds, etc.

My fonts were white and very hard to see in most of the background area. I neeed to turn them to black in order to see them without mousing over them. I Googled for a solution, and found this website which solved the problem:

http://www.vistax64.com/general-discussion...lor-change.html

The solution is:

Go to Control Panel > Personalization > Desktop Background and click "Change background color" which is at the bottom of that screen.. There you should pick white if you want black text and black for white text..

It only changes the font color, and does not effect your desktop picture.
