>Sarah<
1. Is it necessary to update a modem driver when I no longer have dial-up but broadband instead? 2. I downloaded the RealTek driver that the test indicated I needed, but the installation seems to have hung up at 50%. What to do? Here's the link, I HOPE, to the driver recs.: http://www.pcpitstop.com/betapit/sec.asp?c...748&report= Thanks for the help!
IntelGuy
There is no need to update the Motorola SM56 modem driver if you are not using it. There have been numerous reports of recent problems with Realtek drivers. I would suggest you wait a month or two for a newer release and skip the one that is not installing correctly. >Sarah<
Thanks for the welcome. Modem: GOOD! I can't find a useable driver link anyway. Realtek: Trying to download again, but I can't seem to unzip. I will probably do as you suggest and wait for a while. All this makes me THANK YOU!
