Frame rates often vary especially in areas of immense action.

Judging by his (amd-rules) previous posts, I'm lead to believe that he is engaging in idle complaining rather than experiencing an actual technical problem.

just hyper sensitive to any glitch in the games i'd say. ;)

most people would just see it for a fraction of a second then forget about it.

How about step away from your computer for awhile, you've clearly got an addiction and have a fit if it isn't working like you expect. Sunlight might be good for ya... throw a ball around as well. Happy trails.

Have you tried to monitor your temps during gaming?

One thing that sounds like is the GPU is throttling back.

Secondly, during areas of intense explosions, smoke, and gunfire can cause an FPS drop. I play at 1080p, full settings and my video card does that when grenades and smokes are going off.

Untrue. It runs VERY well on my system.

Make sure you have the "Dual video cards" option turned off in the graphics settings.

World at War is a pretty demanding game btw Nothing like COD. In big battles you'll have some lag. I do :)

CoD WaW is the reason why I bought my 4890. My two 3870s just weren't cutting it as far as FPS goes.
