scott38
Hello guys,gals.. Been a while since I posted any thing here...Good to be back...I built this pc yesterday... It is a budget build for now..Here is my score, surprised me somewhat, thought it would be a lot lower... I like the 7850 BE especially after paying only 65.00 bux for it.... ......Thank you in advance... stormy13
Nice, now you need to overclock it a bit. Very easy to do with tat processor, just bump the multi an notch or two, and leave everything else alone. P.S. Turned on the ACC (Automatic Clock Control) in the bios yet to see if it will unlock the other two cores? Probably won't, but worth a shot. P.P.S Almost the same thing here, http://www.pcpitstop.com/betapit/sec.asp?c...;report=Summary

porksandwich9113
Impressive. I never really compared my 5600X2 to the new 2.8ghz processors for AM2+ socket. Looks like they have made about a 30% speed improvement in it. At least in the pit test.
stormy13
Scott just curious but what does your Gigabyte set the vcore to when set to Auto? On my Asus board auto sets it to around 1.4V on my 7750, just a little (more like a lot) on the high side. Have to manually set it to lower, currently have it set to 1.2875. scott38
hey Stormy, I overclocked this to 3.1 just upping the multiplier on stock voltage...When I fired this up the vcore was set to normal....1.250v in the bios...thats where its at now@3.1.... cpu-z shows the vcore at 1.248v....idle temp is is 32c and under load it only went up to 42c...not bad...... new test...@3.315ghz... http://pcpitstop.com/betapit/sec.asp?conid=22525414 Edited August 18, 2009 by scott38
