Wigan
For those who haven't heard of Spotify, it's a free service that enables you to listen to all types of music legally. From their website: Spotify offers you legal and free access to a huge library of music. All you need to do is create an account and download our streaming music player. The only catch is occasionally you'll receive a short ad detailing their other services available within Spotify. I've found it's about every 10 or so songs. This can be overcome by purchasing a day pass (99p), or a month pass (£9.99). If you want the free version, you get ads. You can also create your own play lists and queue orders. It's currently only available in Sweden, Norway, Finland, the UK, France and Spain. http://www.spotify.com/en/ It's brilliant though!
nigsy
Been using it for a couple of months now and love it. Really good selection of songs, and the adds aren't that annoying.
PCPitstopGal
It does not appear that users in the US can use Spotify, so I will suggest Pandora, which seems similar according to Wigan's description. http://www.pandora.com/ It's like a create-your-own radio station playlist, and it guesses at other artists you will enjoy according to music style and other characteristics of the songs. Hi, I live in Sweden so of course i threw myself into their website. But it was not that easy to create a acount. One has to be "invited" to do that, or I have to wait for the website to send me an invitation. It can take some time to get that. It's currently only available in Sweden, Norway, Finland, the UK, France and Spain. http://www.spotify.com/en/ It's brilliant though!
Wigan
Sorry to hear you're having a few problems. When I registered I didn't need an invite and this was a few months ago now. You can try registering at this page: https://www.spotify.com/en/get-started/ I'm not sure if that webpage will act the same, because I'm in the UK, but you could give it a shot. Hope it works out for you, because Spotify is literally amazing. I'm listening to Mr Bojangles at the moment.
