how to inprove this

i just got this computer yesterday and just now got it set up and protected.

its running xp sp3 for now. im planning on putting suse on it in the near future.

but till i do how could i make it better?

it flies compared to what i had.

I'd be willin to be Ububtu or another Linux distro would run better than Winblows on that hardware.

ill be putting Suse on it soon.

also need to get a new stick of ram or 2. it should have 512 but only shows 448. i just had the side off and took the ram out and put it back and still reads the same.

im so lost on winblows its not funny. i feel like its my first day :rofl2:

ill slowly add some better stuff to it so it runs even better.

That is because it has onboard video. It is correctly reporting the ram because you need to subtract what the video is taking. Apparently the onboard video is using 64 megs of ram
