Windows cannot find C:\Documents and settings

Recommended Posts

Clicking on a .jpg file in My Pictures folder or my hard drive would open my photo editing software. After using Optimizer 2.0, I get this message "Windows cannot find C:\Documents and settings\my name\My Pictures\file name.jpg". If I click on a .jpg file stored on my hard drive I get the message "Windows cannot find E:\Photos\file name.jpg". I have the same problem with my drawing .cdr files.

Neither editing software will open from the desktop shortcut or the start/programs menu. All other shortcuts and start/programs work fine. My desktop folder shortcuts open search instead of the folder.

Here's the kicker. After I run PC Pitstop Overdrive everything except the desktop folder shortcuts work fine. Reboot and the problems return.

Any help would be appreciated,

Henry B.
