oatman
Add/Remove is showing versions 1.1 and 1.1 Hotfix, (size unknown), 2.0 (89.33MB), 3.0 (57.82MB) What does it do, do I need it and is anything else dependent on it?. Thank you........
el kido
All I know is it makes most software in XP compatible with it. Such as ATI Drivers and that kinda stuff. You need it, keep it. Dont do what I think your gonna do.
law9933
"Dont do what I think your gonna do." Too late for me, I thought I should remove Net Framework 1.1 & 2.0, then install 3.0 That is totally wrong. In add/remove programs 1.1 & 2.0 are listed but the size is blank. Now they will not install, nor will 3.0 I have not noticed any problems, but I don't do all of the things others do.
oatman
I admit I'm one of those "do it and see what happens" but this time I suspected there might be more to it. :pow: Thanks,

kd5
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update (KB951847) x86 Date last published: 1/27/2009 Download size: 248.4 MB Don't know why M$ has included this in the High Priority updates, I have 1.1 & 2.0, don't want anything beyond that, don't need a 248.4mb service pack for a M$ application I may never make use of anyway... -kd5-
Jacee
I haven't installed the new update either. I need to know more about it. Just because it's there, doesn't mean what I'm running on my XP needs it.
