How do I cancel my product subscription?

Recommended Posts

Hi. I'm not sure if I'm in the correct forum for this, if not I apologize. I need to cancel my subscription to the product named Optimize 2.0 I have used it for a year, with satisfaction. However, I do NOT want the product after the full year. The program itself, as well as an e-mail, has notified me that on 2009-01-24 the subscription will re-new itself. I have tried going to the PC Pitstop site to click anything, any link that would lead me to something that would allow me to cancel this. There is nothing of the sort, maybe I'm blind. So here I am putting my problem out there on these forums. I am hoping that someone who works for the company will see this and help me out. The thing is even if I wanted to renew the subscription for the program, I don't have the money. I can't afford this. So what I am trying to avoid here is getting charged for a program I no longer want, THEN my bank will charge me more money for having insufficient funds. I was more well off, money-wise, a year ago than I am today. Life happens. Either way, will someone PLEASE help me out here. I do not want to pay $50+ (29.99 for Optimize 2.0 and however much my bank is going to ream me for)..for a program I no longer use.

I've already gone into your customer support section and had a frustrating time. I do not have the order ID from a year ago. I did have it saved in my e-mail account and I no longer have it; because like a dolt I deleted every message in every folder for a fresh start, because I had thousands of saved e-mails. I figured I would not need anything that old. How wrong I was.

So please tell me I am not going to be charged $29.99 to auto-repurchase this program because I can't recall an order ID number from a previous purchase.

I have opened a ticket for you at our help desk.

I have verified that one of the support techs have already shut off auto renew for your Optimize 2.0 order.

Thank you for using our software.

I need to cancel my subscription as well. It was over 6 months that I got the first pcpitstop product and had no Idea that there was a yearly charge. Please remove my subscription immediately.

I want my account canceled and I want that $49.99 you just charged me refunded. I have tried to find a way to cancel and you charged me before I could. Not happy at all. Worst program I have ever had on my computer.

Hola @dlpatora and :wpcm:

Thanks for being a part of the PC Matic family, we hate to see you go, but are glad to have had you. We've canceled your auto-renewal on our end, so you'll not be charged and there's nothing else you need to do as it relates to this matter.

Should you continue using PC Matic until the expiration of your subscription, you'll still receive updates and our superior whitelist protection, but when that expires please ensure you have an antivirus to replace it as PC Matic with Super Shield will become ineffective. Here are instructions for removal of PC Matic http://www.pcpitstop.com/pcpitstop_new/uninstall.asp. If you're using Windows 10, Defender will take back over antivirus duties for you with no interaction required. If you happen to still be using Windows 7 on any of your machines, please pick on of these free A/V and get it installed so you have a layer of protection between you and malware. https://www.pcmag.com/picks/the-best-free-antivirus-protection

Thanks again for your support the last 3 years! If you've any questions about PC Matic, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Customer Support team at https://www.pcmatic.com/support/ They're available 7 days a week, from 7Am to 1AM EST.

Tx 🤠
