DDR2 Memory Assistance

Trying to help a friend with the purchase of an eMachines EL 1200 - 05w.

It has DDR2 memory, but I do not know the MHz version.

The CPU is an AMD Athlon™ 64 Processor 2650e

64-bit processor with AMD64 technology

(1.6GHz, 512KB L2 cache, 800MHz system bus)

Does this mean the DDR2 memory is 800 Mhz?

Thanks for your help.

What does the BIOS say? If it says DDR2-800, well, it's DDR2-800. If not, it's most likely not DDR2-800. And the speed you listed is the HyperTransport speed, not the actual memory speed.

Thanks for the replies!!

The individual has not purchased the Desktop yet, so we can't check the BIOS or do a Crucial scan.

Did get the needed info from memoryx.net

Thanks again!! :adios:
