alrighty my issue is i have a file stuck on my desktop called "peggysims2objbedroom0013.zip" [i'm a simaholic] and it's empty and will not delete. i've tried several programs, even in safemode. it's a file mind you not a folder, but it's a zip? if i'm not mistaken zip files are only folders!

when i try to delete it or move it or open it, it says "Cannot delete file: Cannont read from the source file or disk."

there aren't any known viruses or spyware that anything i have picks up.

how do i get this little pest to go away?

Try re-naming the file or using a file shredder there is a real good one that comes with Spybot S & D.

If your still unable to get rid of it i would do a virus and malware scan

EDIT : by renaming i meant the extension from zip to what ever

ZIP files really are files, despite that Microsoft calls them "compressed folders".  You should be able to delete the file after restarting the computer, or probably after just logging off and on again.
