bz2/tarball

ok, I am attempting to learn php, some files I need are bz2. I am understanding this is open source and used on linux. But ironically everything I'm finding to decompress the file costs money or is trial ware to use. I'm hoping I am asking in the right section here since its something used on linux and bz2 and the tarball stuff is open source. I'm really needing some guidance here since I don't have linux installed but need to use these files for my php software I want to use. The debugging tools i need are in the bz2 files.

:pullhair: Is there not an opensource program to unzip this stuff?

I admit I don't have a good understanding of php, but you can't use a tarball from windows

php is php Joe, and will work on any web server.

Tarcy, the two applications mentioned above will extract the files for you.

If not, then post a link to them, I can extract them for you, and then zip them and send em back to you :P

On Linux, PeaZip is a Godsend. Even though I find the CLI to be much faster for handling such things, having a GUI makes things so much easier.

Edit: I forgot that j-zip isn't available for Linux yet. :D
