SpybotSD TeaTimer

I suggest you to disable it because it can interfere with the changes you'll make on your system.

When everything is done and your log is clean again, you can enable it again.

If teatimer gives you a warning afterwards that some changes were made, allow this instead of blocking it.

How to disable TeaTimer

http://russelltexas.com/malware/teatimer.htm

After you disabled Teatimer, download ResetTeaTimer.bat

http://downloads.subratam.org/ResetTeaTimer.bat

to your desktop. (In case you use Firefox, rightclick the link and choose "save as").

Doubleclick ResetTeaTimer.bat and let it run.

This will only take a few seconds.

(Do this after the fix has been completed)

Please ensure Hidden files and folders are viewable:

Go to My Computer->Tools->Folder Options->View tab:

* Under the Hidden files and folders heading:

* select Show hidden files and folders.

* Uncheck Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.

*Also, make sure there is no checkmark beside Hide file extensions for known file types.

* Click OK.

Using Windows Explorer (right-click your "Start" button and select "Explore"), please navigate to and delete the following files/folders in bold.

C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06\bin\jusched.exe

C:\WINDOWS\system32\tmp.reg

C:\WINDOWS\system32\ghqfvkho.ini

Now reboot your machine

How's the computer running now?

Have you completed this?

Using Windows Explorer (right-click your "Start" button and select "Explore"), please navigate to and delete the following files/folders in bold

C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06\bin\jusched.exe

C:\WINDOWS\system32\tmp.reg

C:\WINDOWS\system32\ghqfvkho.ini

.

If you have fine, if not add this to those to be deleted

C:\Documents and Settings\Ahmad\Desktop\backups <--delete this folder

C:\Program Files\BearShare\Installer\BSInstall5.2.5.1.exe <--delete this file

We're going to continue on to clean you up.

Next open OTMoveIt, then click on "CleanUp!". If you receive a warning from your Firewall please allow...In the left pane, it will display a list of tools and other related files which you may have downloaded/used during our cleanup + backup folders that were created with the bad files present. They are not needed anymore, so OTMoveIt will delete them.

Do not edit anything in that Window!

Don't worry if it displays some tools you didn't download/use.

Click Yes when it asks to Begin cleanup process.

Then reboot your computer.

Now Set a New Restore Point. Some of the malware you picked up could have been saved in System Restore. Since System Restore is a protected directory, your tools can not access it to delete these bad files which sometimes can reinfect your system. Setting a new restore point AFTER cleaning your system will help prevent this and enable your computer to "roll-back" to a clean working state.

The easiest and safest way to do this is:

* Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools and click "System Restore".

* Choose the radio button marked "Create a Restore Point" on the first screen then click "Next". Give the R.P. a name then click "Create". The new point will be stamped with the current date and time. Keep a log of this so you can find it easily should you need to use System Restore.

* Then go to Start > Run and type: Cleanmgr

* Click "OK".

* Click the "More Options" Tab.

* Click "Clean Up" in the System Restore section to remove all previous restore points except the newly created one.

If you like you can run another Kaspersky scan to check and see if we got them all and I need to see one more HJT log.

Post back once more and let me know what issues remain, I think we're about ready for preventive tips.
