i have an internet broadband connection and i use an alcatel speed touch modem. so despite downloading the latest driver from alcatel or updating the internet browers each time i try to open up my internet brower its freeze up the pc and it takes ages to open the page. once it opens i always have to keep at least on browers open as it enables the others eventual browers that i open up next to run normally. :mrsgreen:

There is a little pinhole defaults button on the back of the Speed Touch modems

Turn the modem off. Use a tooth pick to hold the pinhole button in and turn the modem back on. Continue to hold the defaults button in for at least 30sec or until the lights show activity on the front.

This may not help your situation but i've seen some REALLY strange things get resolved by the defaults pinhole (I work for a DSL provider as a service tech). Give it a try....cant hurt.
