Can an bad quality photo be cleaned up ?

I ask because there was a moose in our nebours back yard the other day and my dad got a picture of it, but it was atleast 100m away (max zoom 8MP) and it was raining so you can hardly see the moose, and i always see thoes shows like CSI where they just click a button and a blury image is clear (and i know thats unrealistic) but is there any thing out there that could help.

You can clean up pictures to a degree, if you post it here I'm sure a couple of people will attempt to clean it up for you I usually blur my pictures and use funky effects so I'm probably not the best guy, but I can give it a shot too.

You can't recreate what's not there. Could probably play with the lighting a little bit though.

I think you'll find the sort of thing you are looking for there are so highly specialised only top end organisations etc such as FBI etc would have access to them, and TBH I don't even know if such a thing truly exists, but in the films etc the software that allows you too zoom and clear it up actually reconstructs the picture, so it adds to it rather than cleans it up, but only if this tech is real, as I say I don't know personally, but I watch a lot of TV etc lol but anything that you can do in photoshop etc is limited to what there is to work with in the first place, I have seen a very low quality pic turned into a very respectable pic, but it took thew person several hours top do it a bit at a time.

I wouldn't be surprised if they actually had something, but I highly doubt it works as well as it does on TV shows.

The way they do it on tv really isnt possible, sure you could have software try and guess where pixels would be and what not, it would work to an extent but not anywhere near what they show on TV.

 

Though, the government doesnt take bad pics, they can read the book you have in your hand from space.
