Disk MD Defrag Boot Files?

Recommended Posts

Hello, :) Could you please advise if Disk MD defrags Boot Files? If not, how do I do it manually? Thanks.

I wish I could find out how to disable my hiberfil.sys. in my Acer Aspire 1640z or remove it. It has more than 500 fragments! Have tried via command prompt: powercfg /h off but that doesn't compute!

Start>Ctrl Panel>Display>Screensaver>Power Options>hibernation> Does not allow options below 1 minute!

Would Bios Setup be the place to go? Many Thanks. Heather

I just did a google search and found an interesting article. I think it might be what you are looking for. I'm going to do it also.

Hope it helps.

Many thanks Nancy from a very grateful Senior. Will go there now & advise if it helps. Heather

Hi Nancy, what a pity, My Acer ePower Management Utility doesn't have the "hibernate Support" function so wasn't able to change anything. Maddening isn't it! Hope you faired much better. H
